School Dinner Menus
At Atwood, our school meals are provided by AiP. All infant children are provided with a free hot meal each day as agreed by the government under the Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) initiative.
Menus are designed to follow a three week rota, ensuring the children eat a variety of high quality, nutritious meals. We cater carefully for children with allergies and food intolerances. You will have been asked for allergy information when your child joined the school; please inform the school office as soon as possible if there is any change to your child's requirements.
When choosing your child's meal, you do not need to book in advance. Your child can choose what they would like on each day when they get to the counter in the Junior Hall. It is helpful for the little ones if you go through the next day's menu choices with them at home, so they are prepared for what is on offer. Children can swap between school dinners and packed lunches on any day without prior notice.
SPRING TERM MENU 2019
All children under the age of 5 receive a daily 189ml portion of semi-skimmed milk completely free of charge as part of the government's Nursery Milk Scheme. The school will register your child automatically.
If you wish to opt out of the scheme, please contact the school office.
When your child turns 5, or if they are already 5, you have the option to pay for their milk directly through our supplier, Cool Milk. Simply visit www.coolmilk.com and complete the registration process.
If your child is over the age of 5 and entitled to benefit-based free school meals, the school will fund the cost of their milk on your behalf. Please contact Croydon Council if you think you may be eligible, and they will confirm this in writing to the school. The school will then organise your child's milk supply.
If you have any queries about your child's registration or milk supply, you can contact Cool Milk directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0844 854 2913.
